I am a full member, with full voting rights, of the New England Poetry Club, founded in 1915 by three Pulitzer Prize winning poets, Amy Lowell, Robert Frost and Conrad Aiken.  Nobel Laureates Seamus Heaney and Derek Walcott (1930-2017) are consulting members of the NEPC.

P.S. - R.I.P. Seamus Heaney (1939 - 2013). I had an opportunity to briefly meet you once, and you were incredibly gracious. May God bless you my kind poet.

I was awarded a full scholarship, including roundtrip airfare, to attend Arizona State University's Desert Nights Rising Stars Writers Conference 2015 (February 19-21, 2015) as part of the Letras Latinas Writers Initiative.  I'm very grateful to the Arizona State University's Virginia G. Piper Center for Creative Writing and the Institute for Latino Studies at the University of Notre Dame for granting me the full scholarship.
